The San Saba County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a passionate, organized, and community-minded Executive Director to lead our organization and help strengthen our local businesses, tourism, and community.

As the Chamber's chief executive officer, the Executive Director oversees the daily operations of the Chamber, works closely with the Board of Directors, builds relationships with local businesses and community partners, manages Chamber events, promotes tourism, and helps create opportunities for economic growth throughout San Saba County.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the Chamber office
  • Recruit, retain, and serve Chamber members
  • Plan and coordinate Chamber events and community programs
  • Develop sponsorships and partnerships
  • Manage the Chamber's budget and financial operations
  • Oversee marketing, social media, website, and communications
  • Promote tourism and local businesses
  • Prepare reports and attend Board of Directors meetings
  • Build relationships with community leaders, businesses, and organizations
  • Supervise staff, volunteers, and contractors


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in management, nonprofit leadership, marketing, event planning, or business administration
  • Financial management and budgeting experience
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating with the Board and community partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, social media, and other business software


Schedule

This is a full-time position. Some evening and weekend work is required for Chamber events, Board meetings, and community activities.
